Sedex’s free self-serve tool gives businesses an instant, indicative view of which major supply chain due diligence and sustainability regulations likely apply to them.

We’re pleased to introduce our newest tool for businesses: the Sedex Regulatory Navigator. As supply chain sustainability, due diligence and corporate responsibility laws continue to grow – and diverge – around the world, this self-serve interactive tool helps teams understand which regulations likely apply to their business, and what these require.

From complexity to clarity

The pace and volume of new regulation — from the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) to forced labour product bans  — has left many companies unsure of which requirements apply to them and when. Obligations differ by headquarters location, revenue, headcount, the markets a company operates in and whether it imports goods. This makes it hard for teams to keep pace, especially as thresholds and deadlines keep shifting.

The Regulatory Navigator addresses this with an instant, indicative summary based on a company’s profile. Users answer a short set of questions, including their business’s headquarters, approximate annual revenue, global workforce size, the markets they operate in and whether they import goods into the EU or the US.

Designed for compliance, procurement, sustainability and supply chain teams, the Regulatory Navigator gives businesses an accessible starting point for understanding their potential obligations. This helps with prioritising where to focus, preparing for formal legal scoping and starting tasks such as supply chain mapping and an initial risk assessment for a sourcing network.
