Price Increase for SMETA Audits

Effective from 1 July 2024, there will be changes to the fees charged for SMETA audits. The fees will be increased to £150 per audit.

Any audits that are scheduled before 1 July 2024 will be charged at the current fee of £80 per audit.

The fees for SMETA audits are being adjusted to reflect the substantial updates, investment and improvements coming to the SMETA methodology, including the introduction of new assessment criteria such as ‘Workplace Requirements’ and ‘Management Systems Assessments.’

The SMETA methodology is undergoing significant updates to provide a more robust, consistent assessment, clearer data, and more actionable supply chain insights.

Significant improvements have been made to the digital audit tool, reducing the time taken for auditors to complete and submit audits while improving the quality and accuracy of audit data. Read more about it on our website.

The Audit Quality Programme (AQP) is designed to boost the confidence and credibility of Approved Audit Companies (AACs) completing SMETA audits. By rigorously monitoring performance and ensuring the unwavering application of SMETA standards, the AQP enhances the integrity of SMETA audits for our members and strengthens the reputation of Affiliate Audit Companies (AACs).

The SMETA Auditor Academy is a comprehensive e-Learning course designed to equip audit teams with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct SMETA audits in line with the updated methodology. Auditors can complete the SMETA Auditor Academy course by logging into Sedex’s eLearning platform.
