Sedex Holdings Ltd AGM 2024

This year, the Sedex Holdings Ltd Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place online on Tuesday 25 June 2024 at 12:00 noon (BST). 

During the AGM, the Sedex Holdings Chair, Steven Esom, and Chief Executive Officer, Jon Hancock, will provide an update to Sedex Holdings members about business progress over the past 12 months, and the business strategy for 2024.   

Sedex’s Chief Financial Officer will provide an overview of the audited accounts for 2023. Sedex’s Director of Member and Customer Relations will also present.   

Members will have the opportunity to vote on the Resolutions of the 2024 AGM (see the Notice for these). This includes:  

  • Approving Sedex’s audited accounts for 2023 and the appointment of the independent auditors. 
  • Casting a vote for a new Member Director. 
  • Reappointing two current Member Directors. 
  • Approving changes to the Sedex Holdings Articles of Association.  

All Sedex Holdings members will be invited to attend the AGM via email, or to appoint a proxy and cast their votes ahead of the meeting. Members will shortly receive this invitation from Civica, the independent organisation managing the voting process at the AGM.

Dynamic suite of assessment tools

  • An improved Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) to capture key data points more accurately, including by being more accessible for supplier users.
  • Updating the SMETA methodology to increase detection of critical issues, drive site-level improvement and enhance audit quality.
  • Introducing a new environmental assessment solution.

Better value for supplier members

  • Quicker onboarding and shorter Self-Assessment Questionnaire for goods providers – easier to complete and more aligned with SMETA.
  • Increasing training and guidance to drive improvements, with highlighted opportunities to implement good practices “beyond compliance”.
  • More accessible tools and Platform, with improved designs, clearer guidance and helpful explanations.
  • More virtual and in-person events to learn from peers and experts through the Sedex Community – to share challenges and solutions in a “safe space”, and identify new partners.
