Sedex Launches Five Awards

Sedex launches five awards for the 2019 Annual Sedex Awards, celebrating companies’ responsible sourcing initiatives to drive ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains.

Sedex, one of the world’s leading organisations for helping companies identify risk and manage responsible sourcing in supply chains, has opened the prestigious Sedex Annual Awards for 2019. The awards recognise the important and sustainable work Sedex members are doing to create positive impact in the supply chain across labour, health and safety, business ethics and the environment.

London, UK – 27 September 2018.

The Sedex Awards celebrate pioneering organisations that are leading responsible sourcing in global supply chains and transforming business to protect people and the environment.

The 2019 Sedex Awards will be the third consecutive year Sedex opens the awards to members and builds on the momentum of the sustainable programmes of the 2018 Sedex Award winners Mondelez, James Cropper, Laborlink and Clas Ohlson.

This year Sedex will be running five award categories open to Sedex buyer and supplier members celebrating best collaborative effort, best health and safety/labour programmes and best environmental programmes.

“The Sedex Awards are an opportunity for our members to showcase all of their ethical sourcing achievements. The awards demonstrate the immense global impact our Sedex members are making in ethical trade, a rapidly developing sector.”

Mark Sugden, Director of Marketing and Responsible Sourcing

The Sedex Awards nominations will close 21 December 2018, and Sedex will shortlist three organisations in each category, and announce winners at the Sedex Annual Conference Awards Dinner in London on 26 March 2019.
