There is so much work that goes on in sustainability that happens in the background, this nomination recognises Huel for its efforts beyond its products being plant-based. The project has required the collaboration of several teams across Procurement, Data, Technical and Sustainability working on improving Huel's supply chain transparency and work not just for the planet, but for the human beings that live on it too.

Being shortlisted under Community & Collaboration category has inspired us to be more responsible and to bring sustainable, positive change to our community. We are thrilled and motivated to invest more efforts for our community development.

We are extremely honoured to be nominated for the Sedex Sustainability Awards in the Tech & Innovation category and feel that this recognition is a testament to the way we work. As a company that prides itself on designing innovative solutions, we believe that we can change attitudes by promoting sustainability in ways that our colleagues, customers and supply chain would not normally consider possible. We are constantly designing bespoke solutions for a variety of customers to meet their individual requirements and support the global drive to become more sustainable. Our bespoke solutions will cascade down to the consumer and will become sustainable products in daily use that will be in circulation across the globe.

It means so much to the business to be nominated in this category because to us, rather than ethical and sustainable practices being an afterthought, they have been in our DNA from the beginning. At Lucy & Yak we recognise that it takes every single one of us to drive forward positive change. Inclusivity and community are at the very heart of how we do business and we recognise that collaboration with our supply partners is key to ensure the people who make our clothes are respected and valued. Our team in the UK and India work closely together to make sure all of our products are made using certified organic, closed loop or recycled fabrics. This working ethic and close partnership ensures that each item of clothing we produce stays in circulation for as long as possible. We also make sure to reinvest in projects that support lasting, sustainable change in the communities where our suppliers are based. As a growing business, we’re just getting started and being short-listed for this award shows we’re on the right track to achieve our future goals and ambitions.

TATWIN's inclusion in the Sedex award shortlist is a testament that an upstream supplier based in Southeast Asia can too achieve recognition for their commitment to securing supply chains to be in line with global ESG standards.

I’m super excited to see this shortlist recognition for this important award because it helps amplify the voices of the Shea producers. Their voices help to empower women and to protect Shea parklands, ensuring future generations get to know their important work and resource stewardship. Through this public-private community collaboration partnership, the women’s voices also help highlight to partners the challenges and opportunities that they face. I’m honoured to be representing this important partnership, and we are so happy to be working with the Farmers Voice Radio team and other experts to make this project scalable and a success.
