I am passionate about responsible sourcing and supply chain sustainability because my background in internal audit, particularly within the highly regulated banking and insurance sectors, has instilled in me a deep understanding of the critical importance of robust risk management and ethical operational practices. This perspective, coupled with the strategic insights gained through my EMBA at WU, has highlighted the interconnectedness of financial performance and corporate social responsibility.

Now, as CFO and CSR Responsible at Elsima Conf Romania, I see firsthand the tangible impact of sustainable supply chains on a company’s resilience, reputation, and long-term value creation. I am driven by the conviction that integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into sourcing decisions is not just a matter of ethical compliance, but a fundamental driver of business success and a crucial element in building a more equitable and sustainable economic landscape.

I have been involved in various external audits within the company. Alongside the CFO role I have to supervise the audits incurred during the certification or recertification activities. I am keen on learning what can be done differently as a supplier to be more sustainable and also to help our customers are becoming more sustainable. My background in audit and ACCA courses are valuable in identifying ways to reduce waste and to be proactive in implementing measures to become a sustainable supplier.

At Elsima Conf I translate macroeconomic trends into actionable insights, impacting our profitability and supporting strategic decision-making.

The implementation of Power BI, ExpertAccounts ERP dashboards under my direction has revolutionised our financial reporting, enabling clear communication of cost and profitability metrics to stakeholders.

I have a background in Finance and Audit and in the past years I have been involved in GOTS, BSCI, SMETA audits that have been useful to understand better our company and what needs to be done to improve in terms of sustainability.

What I will bring to the SHL Board

The expertise I will bring to the Sedex Holdings Board is a unique blend of financial acumen, risk management expertise, and a practical understanding of implementing and driving corporate social responsibility initiatives. My experience as a CFO provides me with a strong understanding of financial sustainability and the business case for responsible sourcing. Coupled with my background in internal audit within highly regulated industries, I bring a rigorous approach to governance, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Moreover, my current responsibility for CSR at Elsima Conf Romania gives me firsthand experience in developing and executing sustainability strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and measuring impact. This combination of financial oversight, risk awareness, and practical CSR implementation experience will allow me to contribute a well-rounded and strategic perspective to the SHL Board, supporting its efforts to promote ethical and sustainable practices across global supply chains.
