I am passionate about responsible sourcing and supply chain sustainability because I believe businesses have a powerful role to play in shaping a more ethical and environmentally conscious world. They are key factors to sustain any business. By ensuring that materials and products are sourced responsibly, we can protect human rights, support fair labour practices, and reduce environmental impact. Sustainable supply chains not only safeguard our planet’s resources but also drive long-term value for companies, communities, and future generations.

Biography

With over a decade of leadership experience in the garments industry as a business, I currently serve as Head of Compliance & Sustainability, where I oversee ethical manufacturing practices, labor rights, and environmental responsibility. My career has been centered on building and managing robust compliance systems aligned with global standards such as Accord, Alliance, WRAP, BSCI, Sedex, SCAN, Better work, Wordly, CDP, Gigaton, EcoVadis and ISO. I have led multidisciplinary teams to ensure factory audits, buyer requirements, and sustainability goals are not only met but exceeded. I specialise in strategic policy development, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of sustainable business practices across the supply chain. My work contributes to enhancing our reputation as a responsible sourcing destination in the global apparel market.

What I will bring to the SHL Board

The expertise I will bring to the SHL board is a combination of strategic leadership, industry-specific knowledge, and a track record of driving sustainable growth and innovation. As I am working in the garment sector, I believe I can share practical scenarios related to my field with the Board and at the same time I can share the worker’s voice also.

My background in the garment industry as a Head of Compliance & Sustainability equips me to contribute to the Board’s oversight and vision, ensuring Sedex continues to lead in responsible business practices and stakeholder value creation.
