My passion for responsible sourcing and supply chain sustainability stems from a deeply held belief in the profound impact businesses can have on people, the planet, and their own long-term success.

I am driven by the desire to ensure fair treatment and working conditions for workers, support local communities, and address environmental challenges such as climate change. By advocating for ethical practices and promoting sustainability, I aim to be part of a movement that transforms industries and creates a more just, equitable, and sustainable world for future generations.

Biography

With 17 years of experience in the company, I’ve spearheaded various programmes, leading to achieving WRAP certification in 2008. Since then, I’ve diligently pursued certifications, currently focusing on our sustainability program and carbon footprint reduction.

Additionally, as the Chairman of North Zone PRGMEA, a leading association in sustainability within Pakistan’s garment manufacturing sector, I oversee operations involving 600 factories with exports totalling $4 billion USD. Collaborating with universities, we engage interns in environmental sustainability programs, leveraging their contributions to drive our sustainability agenda. Our joint venture with a university on a 300-acre forestation project aligns with our ambition to achieve net-zero emissions.

In tandem, my engagement with Pakistan ACCORD underscores our commitment to sustainability. With extensive contacts and a youthful energy, I’m poised to make significant contributions towards our sustainability goals, advocating for waste reduction and hastening our journey to net-zero emissions.
