Winners of the Sedex Responsible Business Awards announced
We are excited to announce the winners of the Sedex Responsible Business Awards 2020.
These awards shine a spotlight on the important responsible business and broader sustainability work being done, while celebrating the fantastic achievements of individual companies.
We had a record number of entries and were thoroughly impressed with the level of quality and commitment shown. The shortlisted entries were scored by an expert panel of judges who used the following criteria:
- Scale of impact, including social, monetary and community benefits
- Level of innovation
- Possibility of replicating the project/programme
We would like to congratulate all shortlisted companies and the winners from the five awards categories:
Best Health/Safety Labour Programme (buyers) – Buyer members who have successfully implemented a programme related to health and safety and/or labour practices.
Winner: Whitbread Plc
Best Health/Safety Labour Programme (suppliers) – Supplier members who have successfully implemented a programme related to health and safety and/or labour practices.
Winner: Kakuzi Plc
Best Environmental Sustainability Programme (buyers) – Showcases examples of how members have implemented programmes to protect their workers or their surroundings and improve environmental issues.
Winner: Barilla
Best Environmental Sustainability Programme (suppliers) – Showcases examples of how members have implemented programmes to protect their workers or their surroundings and improve environmental issues
Winner: ScanCom International
Best Collaborative Effort (open to buyers, suppliers and auditors) – Members collaborating with customers, suppliers or other stakeholders to improve working conditions or to solve a responsible business challenge.
Winner: The Body Shop
