Gender Quarterly Series: SDG 5 – where are we now?

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action. SDG5 is the achievement of gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Previous events have examined the importance of collecting gender data and gender indicators, this event will consider the progress being made on SDG5, to explore the connection between big global goals and how businesses can take practical action. As we approach the half way point to reaching the SDGs, our gender quarterly series asks, where are we on the road to achieving parity?
