Important Update: Changes to the Sedex Platform

Welcome to the Sedex platform updates page, where you’ll find the latest information on the improvements, we’re making to enhance your experience. This page will be regularly updated with key changes, timelines, and support resources to help you prepare. 

What’s Changing? 

We are making exciting improvements to the design and functionality of our current platform. This will make it easier to navigate, helping you make faster and smarter decisions. Key features like pre-screen assessments, risk assessments, and reporting are being revamped for a more streamlined experience.

Key Dates  

As we transition away from Sedex Advance, certain features will no longer be supported. Below are the critical dates to help you plan ahead: 

November 2024

  • SMETA Virtual Assessments (SVA) will no longer be available – We will be reviewing the use of remote assessments next year and ensure it is developed in line with our member’s needs.
  • Ability to add 1st and 2nd Party Audits will not be possible.
  • Upgrading to our new payment provider Stripe (Supplier membership payments)

December 2024

  • The ability to manage audits and findings in Sedex Advance will be switched off. 
  • SMETA audits completed in the last 5 years will be available on the current Sedex platform. 
  • Data from audits older than 5 years will still be accessible through reports on the Sedex platform.

January 2025

  • Member directory will no longer be accessible.

February 2025

  • The Sedex platform will have a fresh look and features like pre-screen, risk assessment and reporting will be available in a new interface.
  • SAQs which have been completed on Sedex Advance will be removed and no longer be accessible.

We’ll keep you notified when Non-SMETA audits and Agent Self-Assessment-Questionnaires will be available on the current platform, to make sure there are no gaps in availability.
